I have a 55 1/2 chevy 1/2 ton with a Camaro front end and drive train. It is supposed to be a 1982 Camaro unit but may be a late 70's. My problem is front wheel clearance. Everything is fine until you turn and hit any kind of bump. The tire is into the fender. I've had a suggestion to install spacers under the coil springs. Anyone got any experience or suggestions. Thanks a bunch.
got pictures.. its probably an 70 to 81 camaro/firebird front end. there are all kinds of ways to increase the ride height.. and yes. installing spacers ABOVE the coil springs on these is better.. you can get various thickness of coil spring insulators from energy suspension.. http://www.energysuspension.com/assets/files/energysuspension-catalog.pdfbottom of printed page 14.
