Why do these companies keep trying to make the new Camaro look like a second gen trans am? I think the conversions are silly to begin with, but to each his own. Here's what annoys the crap out of me, for what it's worth. The new Camaro is styled after a FIRST gen Camaro. why, god why, don't they make it look like a 67-69 firebird? my humble opinion is that it looks silly with the big eagle on the hood, the second gen grilles, the fender vents, etc. SURELY, I cannot be the only one to think this. I personally feel like the new Camaro would look like a badass 67-69 firebird with the first gen style grill, original style taillights, quarter panel gills, etc.. just my 2cents. What do you think?
want to know a secret about the new camaro.. a young man submitted it to one of the magazines here.. either hot rod or car craft.. i don't recall as i get them both.. there was so much talk of that design that gm built it.. the designer actually got sent from what i hear to design college in so cal.. and now works for GM design department.. i almost bet he had something to do with the new style corvette.. this might also explain the front wheel drive chrysler sebring convertibles.. that you have to. at least i have to look twice to see.. is that a camaro convertible.. no its a sebring convertible.. gm had it all planned out to go to front wheel drive on the camaro... so there was a LOT of tooling and engineering produced.. that could not be used.. rather than waste all that millions of dollars of tooling.. it was sold to chrysler for their sebring convertible.. i cannot confirm it.. as i was not there.. but it is probably the truth.. and that explains why the sebring convertible is built with significanly different parts than the sebring sedan.. and that it looks like a camaro.. there are a LOT of people who love pontiacs.. there was up till a few weeks ago a complete magazine here that just covered pontiac issues.. do you see the august cover of hot rod magazine with the blue 55 pontiac on it.. i spotted that on a classified here in so cal.. i posted it to the high performance pontiac forums just for kicks.. a HRM staffer requested contact info.. and there it is. the cover car on HRM.. august 2014.. http://forums.highperformancepontiac.com/70/9540578/pontiac-restoration/55-hilborn-injected-pontiac-you-have-to-see-edit-n/
