Hello all I have a 1991 UMC looking for the parts that are in the axle or rear mines is starting to make a noise or is there an other rear I can you use
there are some variations in what parts were used on which version.. i am taking that you the mostly chrysler caravan front drive train that looks like this..you will want to see this video on the rear axlehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVVqXxbGSAthis is how you service the rear bearings...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnH-h3W9XvIyou may need this catalog to identify your brakes...http://l.b5z.net/i/u/6149609/f/parts_kit_cat_8-08/Parts_Kit_Complete_Catalog.pdfa travel trailer or RV supplier may have parts available.. to save you a bunch of time as the rear axles are used under a Significant number of trailers.. i saw several suppliers out there. including mill supply.. so you have a lot of choices..
The RV trailer repair shops should be able to help...because of the design.. you may need to replace the axle assembly.. you will have to reverse engineer the weight and angle data from the original axle..there are various axles available.. there are also some neat air assisted axles available.. with air bags that support some of the load..this catalog has axle specs.. and brake specs you will need..http://www.sixrobblees.com/Downloads/6R_-_Trailer_Catalog_2011_6-9-11.pdf
