What is the difference between down leg boosters and annular boosters. And whitch one would be best on a street drive mild big block.
there are about a dozen articles spread out thru the magazines that talk about the various boosters available..here is one from the tech section right here..http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/ccrp_0508_annular_vs_dogleg_carb_comparison/viewall.htmlstreet driven mild big block...pay attention to idle transition circuits.. primaries.. you will want to perhaps check out if you don't intend on WOT drag racing.. and you might want to pick up some decent cruising MPG... go to one of the small primary carbs... that is still a square bore flange.. not a spread bore..
Well its for my chevelle. It's 9:1 .060 over 396. It has 781 heads. They have been ported and it has a performer intake that has also been ported and port matched. Roughly a .540 lift cam. Im looking at 2 carbs. Both are quick fuel 750 q series double pumpers. Just one is down leg and the other is annular. Another question. Are the q series quick fuel carbs good on the street. I don't drive it much when I do I don't take it far. But I do take it to the track quite often.
annular carbs are superior designs.
