Would this build have a place in Car Craft Magazine? It will have the Yamaha sourced v-8 (98-02 SHO) hooked to a t-5 with a Mark VIII/T-bird center section (3.55:1 gears / posi) and Miata IRS. Tan leather recaro buckets, and a custom dash. 97 E39 bmw deep metallic green paint, tan top, biggest brakes i can fit to it.... all done on a budget with as many junkyard sourced parts as i can get into it.Yes I know about the cam issue. stake and weld the gear to the cam and there is no issue.
put a turbo on it.
there are several articles spread out in the magazines on how to get your car in..you may want to submit decent pictures above 4 mega pixel and they might want to look at them...don't forget .. there are dozens of different car magazines on this site..
That is the ultimate plan. But i want to get it sorted with NA power first.
Yeah But Car Craft suits me and my style the best. It is also the only magazine that I haven't dropped my subscription on since I was 16.I think they would appreciate what I am trying to do with it.RSE is the goal....
Why a SHO 3.4? isn't that going to be a pain to make it work North South? Accessory drive still going to work? How are you going to mate it to the 5 speed..... weren't the SHO's auto? Might be better to go with a northstar/shortstar or aurora (if you want to be different)
