I have a 68 Chevelle Deluxe that a previous owner lowered the front suspension by heating the coil springs with a torch (booooo!!!!). I was wondering if anybody knows what the factory ride height should be and how/where it's measured so I can find out how far it was dropped. I need to replace the springs but I would like to keep it at about the height it's at so I need to figure out how far it's been lowered. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Also if anyone can reccomend a source of good inexpensive parts that would be appreciated.

selecting stock replacement springs is the easy way to go..

until you get to the parts counter.. and open the coil spring catalog...

sometimes they will list them properly in the electronic catalogs.

there are also coil spring suppliers that list a whole lot of springs and they list them for raised and lowered over stock..

moog has proper springs for small and big block apps.cut one coil off before installing or use dropped spindles for about a 2 inch drop...good luck
