Has any ever compared an air ride suspension setup against a hotchkis suspension? I've got an 89 Firebird Formula. While it handles very well as it is, I want to make it better. I'm considering both the Hotchkis TVS (Total Vehicle System) and AirRide Technology's complete airbag system. I was hoping someone's used both system (or seen a magazine comparison or something) and could give me some advice.

I haven't tried the airbag ride. If this helps, write the questions you want answered. My brother had a couple different Corvettes with an adjustable air suspension system. It was nice to just push a button and get the ride you wanted. You can't get that with a shock, coil spring, and leaf spring, or coil over set-up.

I have (2) Z28's. A 1979 and a 1981. The '79 has a Gabriel adjustable shock set-up on all 4 corners. It's nice, but to adjust them it had to come apart. The shocks have to be removed (with the exception of the rear shocks). Click the number you want and then go.

Get as much info from these guys as you can. Then make your choice. I would imagine either system is expensive. At todays standards. So make that choice because you will have to live with it....Good Luck..

PS. I know GoodYear makes the best air bag going. My son has a few over the road trucks with air ride suspensions in them. The air bags are GoodYear, and never had a failure from material. His trucks are in all types of weather, and conditions. Thats my 2 cents....

Really what I was hoping to find find out is if the airbags handle as well as they claim. Both systems cost about the same (2 grand) but the airbags would be more complicated and I didn't know if they worked as well for all around performance.
