i recently purchased a 1965 220 rambler , 6 cylinder 199 engine and auto trans, does anyone know if a 1968 rambler 232 6 will bolt to the trans and what does it need to replace the 199 engine, it appears/measures about 3 inch longer? any ideas?

this might help with the bolt pattern issue..

don't forget... there are LOTs of jeeps with 4.0 V6 and 2 wheel drive transmissions floating around.. that might be an option.. those will have engines that will survive unleaded fuel.
creative people might even have used the 4.0 direct port fuel injection..
there a are a lot of people who will have knowledge of what you are attempting to ***
