Hello all,My dad and I have been talking about rebuilding a car for a while now, but his wallet is finally getting looser and I may be able to talk him into it if I can find a decent car to start from. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where I should be looking around the Minneapolis area. I've checked Craigslist with little success. I want something that has a motor and tranny and isn't in terrible need of body repair. He grew up in a garage as have I, so we both know our way around cars pretty well, aside from all the electronic crap they put in newer cars! I'm thinking about a late 70s Camaro or Trans Am Z28. Does anyone have any better ideas for cheap cars with cheap parts? Thanks!!!
Depends on what kind of car you like, Mopars have some thats usually not to pricey like the Duster, Scamp ect.. Chevy with maybe the 82 on up Camaros.. There is a lot of different cars, id say Chevy would be about the easiest because most parts are easy to find, the Camaros i mentioned shouldn't (speaking project car condition) be to terrible in price if you like the looks of them, a decent 350 engine 350 turbo trans, your set.. Late 70's Camaro probably be more money then the rest, but i thought id leave you with at the least a suggestion on a couple.. Good luck in what ever you decide on..
