Motor Swap

I have a 97 F150 with a 4.6.Would a 4.6 out of Mustang swap out and if so what is needed to do so?  

which of the 4.6 motors do you have in the pickup now..

exactly which mustang 4.6 do you want to install...   2 valve NON PI,  2 valve PI. 3 valve.. 4 valve.. cobra..

8 Cylinders W 4.6L EFI (found in 27% of 1997 Ford F150 1/2 ton P/U 2WD)

is your 8th digit of the Vin number a 6 or a W

most of the professional automotive junk yards have a big thick manual called a hollander interchange...

there are a LOT of variations in 4.6 motors.. some will drop straight in.. some WON'T...

some will install with a LOT of changes...   nothing is impossible...

i am NOT an expert in 4.6 swaps.. but if you put up enough info.. there are forum members who are....  even a few staffers who are...
