Last year I was suggesting they look at having a cruise that ended at a drive in theater, and actually had a movie to watch when the sun went down. Figured that'd be a pretty cool way to end a cruise and car show.

Do they even have drive-ins on the Left Coast anymore?
Considering they haven't made any Car Craft-worthy feature films in at least three decades,** I'd suggest this triple feature . . . "Two-Lane Blacktop" . . . "Vanishing Point" . . . "Heart Like a Wheel" . . . .
**And no, movies where the cars are just props to be smashed up willy-nilly for faux excitement (e.g. "Dukes of Hazzard," the "Fast and Furious" series, "[Daze] of Thunder," "Deathproof") are not films that capture the essence of the gearhead life (or obsession). "Vanishing Point" gets a pass because the "finale" was a brilliant metaphor sacrificing a then-contemporary vehicle (a Camaro, not a Challenger, btw). It was not a gratuitious waste of vintage muscle, as is so common in recent smash-em-up "action" films.

I went to a drive-in in So Cal and watched "Chronicle" last Sunday. Horrible movie, but it was a drive-in!

I nominate starting the 2012 Anti Tour at the Justice Brothers World Headquarters and Museum in Duarte, CA. Freeway friendly at the 605 and 210 fwy junction: Justice Brothers It's a So Cal business for over 50 years, plenty of parking to get situated. Full of hot rods, car culture, and you will get a great tour from Ed Justice Jr himself.
It's near Angeles Crest Hwy,, San Gaberial Canyon, Gendora Mtn, or Mt Baldy. Even a good starting point to head east to Lake Arrowhead.

Johnny- Great. The T-5 will help your gas mileage this year! Elana and Randal- thanks for RSVP-ing so quickly. For everyone else, consider this the official Anti Tour 2012 thread. I will post any updates here and on our Facebook fan page:
https://www.facebook.com/carcraftmag
If you haven't heard yet, we're doing the Morro Bay trip again. It will be May 4-6 this year, and we'll be taking the same mountain roads we did last year. The meeting spot is Wilwood brakes in Camarillo the time is still to be determined, but will likely be around 8:00 am.
Stay tuned here and on FB for the latest details.
