I have a 383 externally balanced sbc and was wondering if a 6 spd tremic from a 1997 lt1 firebird will bolt up and can I also use the fly wheel? I heard that the 93 to 97 lt1's were externally balanced in the rear?

Trigger

The only thing that I was able to find that because you have an externally balanced assembly you have to use externally balanced flywheel.

Jegs has one P/N 555-601255 $79.99 I don't know if its a Hi-Performance flywheel. I would only use a Hi-Performance FLYWHEEL,CLUTCH, AND PRESSURE PLATE, USE A ROLLER BEARING PILOT BEARING ALSO. It's for 400 ext balanced.

Maybe the only thing you won't be able to reuse for the Firebird is the flywheel. The way you can tell on any externally balanced SB&BB has the big balance pad on the flywheel or the flex plate. You are going to get all the pieces that go with the Tremic.Just remember when you order a clutch assy you specify that you have a stroker 383. Then put those P/N away for further use.

DID YOU GET THE LIFTER CLATTER TAKEN CARE OF?
MERRY CHRISTMAS
