Hey everybody,

I have been here afew other times for small questions to be answered. But now, I am finished my 75 Dodge Dart and I really need some help with insuring it. I am almost 19 years old and this is my first car i completely rebuilt myself...unfortunately, it is also my first car I need to insure under my own policy, along with my daily driver. Seeing as this is so expensive and I am still in college, I need to insure this thing classicly, even with restricted miles. However, when I call Haggerty insurance, or American Hobbyist, they all want to see at least 10 years of driveing experience before they will insure it. And that is for ANYONE who EVER drives the car, otherwise the insurance is null and void. If ANYONE knows of ANY companies that will insure my classic, PLEASE give me information. Like I said, I have about 2 years driving experience, but I need insurance on my wonderful (loud) classic car. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could, please respond to: Phreaekie@hotmail.com

Thank you all so much,

Bill

Persons below the age of 25 are classified as high risk drivers who are mostly teenagers. Car Insurancefor teenagers can be quite expensive since statistics show that this is the age bracket that is involved in any accidents. This is mostly due to failure to adhere to traffic rules such as over speeding and ignorance.  New drivers are also considered high risk drivers due to lack of enough skill in driving. They are more likely to be involved in a traffic accident.

Taking advanced driving courses can help eliminate any points on your driving record due to over speeding, DUI or multiple accidents within a short time hence lowering your insurance cost.

You can also take a higher deductible which will automatically lower your premiums. However, ensure you take a deductible that you can be able to pay in case of an accident.

.. If you have no accidents, and don't expect to have any, check with Erie Insurance...
