350 rocket engine/year ID

long story short, i got a 350 olds rocket,
block # 395558 2
31290 (some # i found on the front right of the block #)
Intake manifold # 411990
headers # 417754 RH

i looked for the engine Vin# and could'nt find it. from what i gathered these numbers put it between a 1968-1976,
i would really like to to find out the exact year of the engine.
Any help help here or letting me know how to get the info would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi: I just read your thread, did you ever get an answer? I just boght a 77 Cutlass & having a hell of a time figuring out what motor I have .... Mine also has the numbers 417754 RH on the bottom exhaust manifold on the passenger's side ... is that where yours is? Email me at rz66046@mail.com  Thanks!

Oldsmobile engine ID; behind the timing cover, to the right of the oil filler tube, is a series of casting numbers and a larger number or letter. Head ID is even easier; at the front of the left head or rear of the right head is a large number or letter. HEADS; number identifies sb heads, letter identifies bb heads.
