hotrod,,,
Yes, you install a 400 Chevy crank in your 350 and your stroke of 3.48" goes up to 3.75",,,
You will need a 400 flex-plate and 400 harmonic balancer for your new 383 combo

and 400 crank has bigger main journals than 350, so they have to be turned down to match, just buy a crank made for this, that way is done right. this is more a torque motor than a high hp one, so figure a max of 5800-6000 rpm for a street motor. you'll love it tho.

and get 8 pistons with the right deck height for a 400 crank while you're at it too.
Come to think of it,,, it might be cheaper, in the long run, to just get the stroker kit from Summit or Jegs.

Yep stroker cranks and kits are dirt cheap now compared to what they were a few  years ago. And why not you build the 383 for about the same as a 355, and everyone knows there's no replacement for........well you know. Get on Google too, there's a lot more mail order parts joints out there now other than Summit or Jegs.
