I have put a olds 455 in my pontaic grand lemans and was wondering if anyone else has done this swap. The car is upand running but having a hard time finding headers that will fit.

how about headers for a '76 cutlass,  I believe they are the same body style,  not??

I would think the same thing as oldsfreak.

However, small block olds headers (350-403) is usually all you see listed.

Those headers show to fit 68-77.

I have a 72 Cutlass and considered a olds 350-to-455 swap. Headers are readily available for the small blocks, but the 455 headers I found required mods to one fenderwell, and may have had one pipe that has to be installed after the header. Weird, maybe check an Olds guru on that.

If your engine is installed with iron manifolds you're not in bad shape...

There is a specific passenger side manifold that was used when the 455 was installed in A-bodies (Cutlass) to clear the heater box. Different than a B-body (88,98) which is what most 455s come out of. Virtually all used the same driver's side manifold and believe it or not, on both 350s and 455s. The flange is apparently the same on big and small block. If you tried to use small block headers the height on them might be wrong, as the 455 is a bit taller.

These things may be why you are having trouble finding something. The 73-77 GM A-bodies just aren't very popular, but I love em!

Thanks for help. I may come back and pick your brain again.
