rebuilding a 307

Ok, I am rebuilding a 307, here is what I plan to do.
Bored .03 over to 3.905, Decked .005, stroke is 3.25 Eagle 5.565 inch 400 rods, with KB 283 dome pistons(gives .04 piston to head clearance and 10.38CR with a .015 head gasket)
(I am using 400 rods with 283 pistons because all 307 pistons are cast rebuilder pistons with a shorter comp. distance and the 283 KB pistons are Hyper with a 4cc dome, and even with the shorter rods, the rod to stroke ratio is still better than a 350)
Dart Iron Eagle heads with 180cc intake runners and 64cc chambers. Edelbrock RPM air-gap intake. Holley 600 double pumper carb. MSD HEI ignition. 1.5 inch headers. And a Comp or Lunati Hyd. roller cam and lifters Balanced to 7500RPM.
Now what Hyd. roller cam should I use and about how much power should this make.

sounds pretty cool but i think you should tell everybody it's a bored 283 with a 327 crank and no one will ask why you built a 307...unless they're already knowledgable enough to know the bore/stroke of the small blocks by heart...but how many know more than 350, 383, 400...just a thought

Hypereutectic pistons are cast too.
Sounds like an interesting build. Super Chevy made over 300 HP with a 307 with just heads and cam, didn't even touch the short block.

Ya but they are stronger then a basic cast piston.

I am using a 327 crank also and I am wondering if i can use the small block 400 rods with out decking the block and will the 400 rods fit the stock 327 crank ? What type of pistons should i use ? Since your buying pistons and rods for the build why not go with a longer rod?
