Electric fan on 1968 Roadrunner

I have a 68' 383 Roadrunner, manual trans. I want to reduce drag on the engine to free up some horsepower, so I've been thinking about converting from the stock fan to an electric fan. I just bought a 980 Cranking Amps red-top Optima battery.
Does anyone have suggestions on what brand/type of electric fan(s) I need to get, as well as an alternator (with the amperage rating) that would be strong enough to power the high compression 383, with electric fans and electric fuel pump (I might also be adding a stereo amp later in the future)?

you will get power gains but its not going to be out of this world power diffrences. it sure does look and cool alot better though. depends on how much money you want to spend. flip threw a summit.

It won't be that much power difference? How much do you think it would free up? I want to make it run more efficiently so I thought that might be a large step. Do you have any other ideas for making it more efficient? Do you have any recommendations on good (not for the rich) alternator brands/models? Thanks for the reply.

better yet, surf their on-line catalog, use the part search
i don't know about summit, but i do know that jeg's has way more available thru the web site than what's listed in the catalog
