I have a 80 Z28 with a 4:11 rearend and a 400TH trans that has been BUILT.Not sure of specs.but trans was for a Pro-Street Nova so I know its beefy.I have a NEW 2500 conv still in the box that a friend of mine gave me and I'm gonna use a 76' 350 that I just picked up.Is this staul enough to get a decent launch or will it be too sluggesh due to the rearend gear? Its just a street car (Weekend driver)

Your stall all depends on what the specs of the engine is going to be.

you want a good launch, go with a 3500, its not a every day driver. i pulled out a 2500 and installed a 3500, it made it more street friendly. it was not pulling as hard at stop lights. it made .6ths better in the 1/4 . i have a 383 also it still has the 2500 and i have to two foot it when in parking lots and at stops,it does get good mpg if your into that.

christ, it will not be sluggish with 4.11s!!!!! yeah baby!!!

match it to the cam...10inch 3200 is about as much stall you can tolerate on a street car....just get a 10 inch...they are much more efficient...no matter if its a 3000,3200,3500 etc...

Yeah, without knowing engine specs it would be hard to pick the convertor you need.
