I have a 1969 Camaro and my battery is in the trunk. Right now I am running the positive to a ford solenoid and than to the starter. I run all the extra stuff that requires 12v power off the ford solenoid.

basically I don't want to use the ford solenoid. I have to much to run off the starter and I am looking to do this clean and nice looking but not sure exactly what options are available.

Thanks ahead of time.

i had the same issue. here was my fix, loose the ford part. run the battery cable to the starter. then run another wire #8 cable, install a relay to carry the load. you can power this off of a ignition source. the power everything off the relay safetly. you can even add another fuse box if needed.
