FINALLY, got the old truck fired up. i am new to this forum(actually, i am new to any forum).anyway,i hope to learn alot and make alot of new friends.

Your truck came with an oil pressure switch. If you lose oil pressure it will kill the engine so you don't hurt anything. I have an 86 C10 the switch kills the ignition not the fuel pump. If you connect it backwards it will not start. You should keep the switch to be safe. Keep on truckin'
