Well, first of all the RIGHT AND WAY COOLER!! Thing to do would be a olds 455 and turbo 400 trans, but i'll just assume your like me. Limited budget, got a good deal on said engine trans, etc. Most GM's have several sets of bolt holes in the frame you just need the frame stands from 67 chevelle and either factory or aftermket engine mounts,Summit,Jegs etc.I think the alternator and starter wiring is also on the wrong side but not sure. The 67 still has a external voltage regulator so you should upgrade to an internal reg. alternator. If the chevy has H.E.I distributor you need a dedicated 12 volt switched power,LIVE WHEN CRANKING,source from the ign switch. It's a pretty easy swap for headers use 67 chevelle headers.

So I need to move the mounts on my  crossmember forward? And you said headers for a 67 Chevelle will work with this swap?

Yes, I have found the easiest way to figure out which set of holes to use is bolt new engine and trans together put the new (chevy mounts) on the engine put the bolt through so the frame part of the mount is hanging loosely on both sides. Then slide it all back in and when the trans mount lines up andthe mounts rest on the frame you will know which holes to use. This only applies to transmissions that have the same bellhousing tomount length ie.turbo 400 to turbo 350 wontwork this way, but in your case itwill be fine. yes headers from chevelle should work maybe some minor clearancing . remember to clean your frame rails andfirewall now tocause it looks better and way more fun towork with clean parts
