a procharger is a brand of supercharger.
you must meen roots blower, or supercharger.
roots blower has better low end torque.
but you can get better gas milage with a centrifugal supercharger, like procharger.
if you want to run power steering and a centrifugal supercharger, you need to get either an 88-92 camaro/firebird kit, an lt1 kit, or a 88-? truck kit. and you'll also need to get the pullies brackets and excessories off the matching year vehicle.

you can run 9.5:1 compression with 10psi boost with the procharger, witch is even safer with an aftercooler.
or you can run the roots blower with up to 7psi boost.

the roots blower would be easier to carb, cause it's a draw through type system.
the centrifugal is a blow through system, requiring either, efi, or a carb box to pressurise the carb. underboost. or your boost will cause the engine to run lean, and vapor lock.

if you want an ATI procharger system, i have one.
it's a D1B dominator ( straight cut turbine for more low end boost, D1 hase curved turbine for more efficient top end)
it's new, literally never been used.
i have both the 10psi pully, and the 15psi pullies.
it has a 3core aftercooler (intercooler whichever you prefer to call it)
it's a complete kit minuse tubbing for an 88-92 camaro/fireberd.
i will include all mounting brackets and accesories from an 88-92 camaro/firebird, including bolts, nuts, waterpump, ac compressor, smog pump, idler pully, crank pully, power steering pump, altornator. with the blower for $3600.00
all youd have to do is figure out your carb situation, and make the proper tubbing and your all set.

i have lots of other brand new performance parts if you want more power.
a new roots system will cost you pretty close to $3000.
with carb, ect...
the ATI procharger system like mine with tubbing from a dealer, is a little over $4400. right now
then you'd still have to buy the other accesories, and brackets, and bolts if you want power steering.

hope that helps.

Do you want it sticking through the hood or not? That's how I'd decide.
