LET ME GIVE THE CAR INFO FIRST. I HAVE A 87 BUICK REGAL WITH A FACTORY OLDS 307 AND 200R4 TRANS. THE TRANSMISSION WENT BAD, SO MY QUESTION IS, WILL A 700R4 BOLT UP TO THIS OLDS 307.

nope... 700r4 only came with chevy bolt pattern... and possibly as i remember..  a small V6 pattern.. but i am not sure..

i have only heard about them..  never seen one..

check out this link..

there are shops out there that are building the 200R4 to take huge amounts of horsepower..

seems the input shaft is stronger.. only one hole drilled.. vs.. 3, side by side on the 700...

i don't know if the 700r4 was produced with a BOP bell housing pattern, but if it did, it's 3 inches longer than the 200/4r and has a different throttle valve set up

unless the 700r4 is real cheap a different or rebuilt 200/4r may be the easier, less complicated route

No the 700R4 will not bolt to the olds 307.
