newer ratio gearbox in 65 chevelle

I have a 65 chevelle that i have been wanting to put a newer ratio gearbox in, i have a manual gearbox out of a 91 s-10 that fits beautifully, but the pitman arm for the s-10 box is a lot different, it drops down more and wont fit the drag link assembly. I need a manual gearbox because the car is a drag car. can anyone help, what manual gearbox can i use, what pitman arm can i use, and what rag joint should i use? something out of the junkyard would be perfect, dont want to spend an arm and a leg for it. thanks
