Hi, Jim Hear is my opinion. Everything is based on the market. Mostly, what some one will pay. These price books I find to be way out there? One will price something at $7,000 and another will Value the same vehicle at $25,000. Example; (See my Car in my profile). I looked at 4 books and got 4 totally diffrent values. Lowest was $19,000 and Highest was about $35,000. In reality, I can only get what some one will pay for it. Althought it is not for sale!! This is how it is valued in these books. Remember this--- These people sell books!!! They really don't care weather it is accurate or not, as long as soomeone buys the book. I've also had the vehicle appraized by four appraizers and got four diffrent values from $21,000 to $38,000. I insured it for $29,000, which I averaged out. Again, it is the buyer that really determines the value of something. I've seen really nice cars take a few years to sell cheap. I've also seen really bad cars sell fast and expensive? It takes some one to want what you have to make anything valueble? Hope this helped. To me all classic vehicles are very valuable. (Can not be Replaced!!!!!!) I'm partial to Falcons and Rancharos, Lov-em!!!
