I drive a 1994 MX6 V6.  I beat it like a rented mule.  I do believe the Probe has the same frame and motors.  But I have no idea about the swap.  Go to MX6.com where there are probably tons of people who have done what you want to do, or will tell you why not to.  A parallel site is (I believe) probe.com.  It might well be easier to just swap cars.  At 15 years old, they are'nt that expensive.

If you can just get a decent MX-6 or Probe GT.   To make the non GT a GT you'll need the entire motor, the trans, (the GT trans is the much stronger H type where the non GT's are G types.  Even the later V6 cars use the G type.) yhr half shafts and spindles (or just the hub's) from the GT as well.

You can get by with the non GT spindles bu using the GT inner CV buckets with the non GT shafts and spindles.

GT's also had rear discs and the later cars had a strut tower brace in the rear.

You will need the harness and ECU from the GT as well.  The non GT's used a vac can on the disty where the GT's were all electronic.

The GT flywheel is different because the GT clutch is larger (same as the RX-7 actualy)

The GT's were also optioned with adjustable suspensions but since the struts are all old and new ones are rare and expensive I wouldnt wory about it.

4 wheel steering was also an option.

For a nice cheap upgrade you can use the higher CR N/A long block with the turbo hardware for some more output and better mileage.  Just be sure to run premium lol.

Head, cam, valve train, intake manifold, block (except fot the knock sensor hole being tapped on the GT), crank and rods are the same regardless of the car.  Differences are the GT pistons are lower comp and possible a different alloy.

The harnesses and ECU are the main differences.

Theres also the FE3N DOHC motor to think about.
