The initial timing is set at 16-17 degrees advanced and I have had it to the mid 20s initial without spark knock but it didnt seem to run any faster. And is there anything else I can do besides the timing.

P.S. It has MSD HEI and it has an adjustable vacuum advance should I adjust that to.

initial at 10/12...total of 34/37 all in by 3000....check your damper for true TDC..use an ajustable timing light...crank to 3k and check timing...crank to 5k and check again...

vacuum advance is not operating when WOT...no need to fiddle with that right now...
actually i would unplug it...

good luck

230* @0'050 is plenty large for a 307...more cam will mean more converter...stick a 3800 and some 4.56s and watch your ET DROP....

Put a 3800 converter and some 4.56s and say goodbye to driving on the street.

Will the 1.6:1 ratio rockers give the cam more duration or just more lift.

You got that right!
They will just give it more lift.

So if I put on the 1.6 ratio rockers it wont change the RPM range of the cam.

Also I am having new flowmasters put on and I am useing 2.5 inch pipe from the headers to the mufflers and 2.25 inch pipe from the mufflers to the end, should I also have exhaust cutouts welded in or will they not help the 1/4 mile ETs.

no it wont..same rpm range...

all depends how bad you want to go fast...

its (always) a compromise...

FYI,

if your port flow goes up (improves) and the port size stays the same(CSA and size)...RPM range will not go up...it will stay at the same place...

No the rpm range does not change only lift.
