Dart Iron Eagle Heads

On the dart website they list the flow of the 180cc iron eagle at 222cfm and on the flowbench the 180cc iron eagle only flows 208cfm, I have a set of these heads that I was going to put on a 307, but is 208cfm of air flow enough to make over 325HP and good TQ on a 307.

That should be plenty you have to remember it is only a 307. Those heads will act larger on a small cubic inch engine.

I shift the car at 5500RPM is this still big enough to build HP all the way up to 5500RPM.

Plenty big enough you have to remember the bigger the runner the high it will have to be reved to make it's peak power.

Ok. I am looking to make about 100 more HP with the iron eagles over what I have now. Right now the 307 is bored .03 over, decked .005, and the crank has been balanced, it has flat top pistons(at .04 inces down in the cylender at TDC),the cam is a comp cam with 230 duration and .490 lift, edelbrock performer intake, 600 holley carb with a 1 inch open spacer, 1 5/8 inch long tube headers, HEI, and it has 882 heads that give me about 7.8:1 compression ratio and i am useing stamped 1.5:1 ratio rockers.
When I put I iron eagles on it will give me about 10.2-10.4 compression ratio, 180cc runners over the 882s 151cc runners, and I will be useing comp 1.6:1 ratio roller rockers that give the cam a lift of .523 at valve and a little more duration.
Is this enough to raise the HP about 100HP.
The 3600LB car runs 16.42 in the 1/4 mile at 85MPH and I would like to get it in the low to mid 14s, could this be posible with what I am going to do.

What is the combustion chamber size on the iron eagles.

The chamber size on the eagles are rated at 49cc but they spec out at around 52cc and with a .02 inch thick head gasket gives me a 10.25 compression ratio and with a .015 inch thick head gasket gives me a 10.39 compression ratio.

let me chme in...
IMHO, i do not think you will net +100hp with all these parts....though let me say...you did your homework and picked some good parts, good combo...its just that you only have a tad over 300 cubes...to move about 3600 lbs....

With those heads and a .020 thick gasket and 52cc you will only have a 9.5:1CR and you will not see a 100HP gain but it will be a very noticalbe gain over those junkie 882 heads.

How do you only come up with a 9.5:1CR, the compression calculator that I use shows a little over 10:1CR.
http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html
Heres the website for the compression calculator I have been useing. The bore of my 307 is 3.905, and the stroke is 3.25, so I have 311CI, deck clearance on my engine is .04, and the flattop pistons have 5cc valve reliefs, used with a .02 thick gasket gives me 10.25:1CR.

Ok you are right I put in for a 3" stroke my mistake to many engines on my mind at once.

I would estimate a 75HP gain.

With a powerglide, 2500RPM converter, and 3.73 gears in a chevelle running 16.45 at 85mph what time can I expect with 75 more HP and the added TQ.

Is the 75HP gain for just the heads or from the heads and the 1.6:1 ratio roller rockers.
