My father was one of the participants in this event. He was stationed in Vietnam and was allowed to come stateside for this event and then had to go back and finish his tour afterword. I'm looking for any information about this event. All i have are the stories he told me as a kid and a patch and jacket he kept. Tahnks in advance...

I currently own the #1 Bonneville Speed Spectacular Javelin. If your father lives in Knoxville,TN, I visited him years ago to research the history of the evebt. I have contacted some of the other original participants of the Spectacular. Feel free to contact me and I'll be glad to share any info that I have with you.
Give my regards to your father.

Thank you jeff, he lived in Lexington KY at the time and sold the car he brought home to some one in Stamping Ground KY in the mid 70's. His name is David Darnell but goes by Pete.
