do you have a single throttle body mounted fuel injector?????   i would be that it is going bad... i have had several that did that same exact thing...

they go bad often enough... that most parts stores keep them in stock...  price them around.. there are major differences in pricing on them...

and.. do you have any trouble codes in your computer....  cycle the key on , off, on, off, on , off , on...  with the final in the on  all within 10 seconds.. you do not have to start the motor.. just work the key...   the check engine will flash 2 digit codes..     5 flashes and then 5 more flashes  means it has no codes stored...  the lowest code is a code 12..   blink----- blink - blink...    that means that you have had the battery disconnected within the last few starts...

blink-- blink-- blink-- blink-- blink--------------- blink-- blink-- blink-- blink-- blink is code 55... end of codes...

there were several optional motors available in 90's dodges..  so please post what you have...   and a bad fuel injector may not set a code.. but it will sure act strange... i seem to recall that there might have been a factory recall on some of them... but it is out of date now...

on some models.. you can see the spray pattern of the injector... if you can... and you have a timing light... hook the timing light clamp over the coil wire.. point the timing light at the fuel injector spray pattern... run the motor at different speeds ... you might see the spray pattern change...   start to collapse.. that would indicate a failing injector...
