Just wanted to say hi and show you guys my project. I've done all the work myself and a few good friends. It a real 242 vin 1967 Pontiac GTO. I bought the car my senior year of high school(2002), for $2500 dollars. It came in boxes....But was almost complete. A flat bed and two truck loads later it was home. I knew at this point that I would need to get the car as together as possible, so it would be easier to store. I bolted the body together and started acquiring parts. Two Moves and two parts cars later I was ready to get started.(2007)
I started with painting the car flat black, to get it all one color(paint to come later). Then I installed a 350 from one of the parts cars and the muncie that came with the car. I bought a disk brake conversion and rebuilt the front end. I also installed 1.5 inch dropped springs, kyb shocks, and a 1.25 sway bar that came with the car. I also found out I had a 4:10 posi! this thing is gonna scream! I should note that all of the front end parts I bought at my discount as a employee of Les Schwab. Next came the painless wiring kit and Pypes stainless steel exhaust. At this point it's a driver with about $6000 dollars invested including purchase.

I've still got a new interior to install that came with the car for the original price. I also just bought a low miles 455 that will be getting reringed and put in. That should put my at around $8000 give or take and I just need to paint it and install the interior. I'm hoping to strip it down to bare metal and get it ready for paint myself than have it sprayed at Earl Shwieb. Hopefully I can make my $10,000 dollar goal.

Nice ride. Where was that picture taken? Looks like Lake Washington. Congratulations, I would just drive it as it is with the flat black. Looks great.

yep it's Lake Washington, down at the old Navy Base, behind one of the hangers.
