Hi I have a 1968 chevy C10 that I'm turning into a street/strip vehicle. Right now I have a goodrich 350 with a weiand 142 supercharger on it. I just bought a set of heads and am thinking about stroking the motor or just putting in some forged pistons. I bought these AFR heads,http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=AFR-1050&N=700+4294925232+4294838998+4294867081+401472+4294908216+4294784376+4294840140+4294784606+115&autoview=sku I also bought a E85 carb for it and I want to try and squeeze 8psi out of the blower, would I be fine with just slapping in a set of forged pistons or should I just stroke the motor with a forged rotating assembly. I'm planing on driving it on the weekend so I dont care for gas mileage. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be happy, I want to keep the compression low so if want to go back to gasoline I would be fine

the motor only has 3000 miles on it and has never been apart so I think I could get away with a hone and a set of pistons but i'm not sure

i have a 142 blower on a 350 chev, with stock bottom end,8.2:1 compression and a set of L31 iron heads. this set up has 5psi boost. max rpm`s 6000. the cast bottom is holding up good. if your going to run 8psi forge is the way to go.

two words trailing arms i had a 67 c-20 w/383/700r4/4.10 rear gear/31" tire i bent/broke a trailing arm with a mild 350/350 combo i found a guy locally to build 2x3 boxed arms using the original as a pattern and then put bigger motor in and they never gave me a problem LMC Truck in Kansas (mail order company anyone with an old truck should be very familiar with) used to offer reproduction truck trailing arms but they were pricey compared to my fabricator friend. of course if the truck is to be tubbed or already is, none of this will be a concern i have also seen the u-joints break and without the carrier bearing style driveshaft there is nothing stock to keep the driveshaft from being cut in two where it passes thru the frame cross-member...ruined someone else's day at the race track
