Help!!!!!!!!!!
I am starting up a new project. My 64 Futura had been sitting in a guys back yard from that I understand for about 20 some years. It was in the high desert in calif so the body isn't rusted out, but the down side is that the 100+ days did a number on the interior. It's all there but dash panels gauges door panels head liner all got to go. I have been searching for parts but found very few. I am going to pull out the stock 170ci 6cyl 4speed (it's a shame because it runs like a sewing machine) but I got to have some power. I am putting a 495hp 351w to help take care of that, not sure what trans yet. If anyone has some advice on 6cyl to V8 swap it would be a big help. I am thinking about tubbing it but don't know where to start. She will need paint weather seals no body work, no dents no bondo, original paint & glass. I'll take all the advice that I can get, and any info on parts. I live in a small town in N.M. so trying to get anything here is a joke.
THANKS!!!!FxstsTwo

I'm probably going to cut my own throat here. But E-bay has a lot of Falcon Parts at resonable prices. They have what is called "BUY NOW", which means you do not have to bid on them. Go there, Go to Ebay Autos and Trucks, then Parts and Accessories. Type 1964 Falcon and your ready to look at what they have. Go ahead cut my throat? Ha Ha. I have a 64 Falcon Futura Convertible Mint. It is pictured in Reader's Rides here, and I'm restoring a 64 2 door Hard Top, using a 351 windsor and a C-6 trans. I made my own headers, and for the most part 5.0L mounting parts worked for me. The 351 is a little wider than the 5.0, 289, or 260 V-8, other than that they are the same engine. The diffrences are; wider intake because it has a longer stroke, which means a wider block. I used a C-6 small block trans. The excellerator bracket at the fire wall will have to be modified. If you use headers that are on the market, the shock towers may need to be slightly reworked. This is why I made my own. No modifying. I have found many parts on E-bay. Sounds like you have a solid little Falcon? What body is it?
