ok on my brothers lexus the doors were fine never any loose parts or wavy handles, and one night the passenger door just decided not to open from the outside. I could feel that the door handle wasn't latched like it use to.

if anyone knows where i could start to fix this problem im open ears.

i guess its quite because this is a carcraft forum...  but its even harder without the year and model...   but most cars have a plastic clip that holds the control rods in place... one probably broke and the rod fell off..  the only way to tell it to take it apart carefully... and look inside... and most toyota dealers will have the right parts to fix it..

i was looking for something on another web site..  and ran across the part number from dorman for the door lock rod clips for honda, infinity, lexus, nissan and toyota cars... 89 to 2006 applications..   dorman motormite 75474

the gm ford and mazda versions are dorman motormite 57473..

both are new part numbers and may not be in everybodys parts systems yet...
