"350 bigblock?"

If we're talking SBCs, the exterior of the "Mouse" blocks are all the same size.  Other "orphan" GM 350s were bigger.   But I don't know if I'd call any GM 350 a "bigblock" except for perhaps the antique Chevrolet 348 or maybe the real Pontiac 350 (which was really kind of a "midblock").

Swapping a Gen I SBCs for a larger Gen I SBC is pretty much a bolt-together deal.

If it is a small block chevy 350 then there is absolutely nothing you have to change out on the truck.  It will bolt right in, same dimensions and mounting points.  Might have to do some research on Fly Wheel's if you are using a one piece rear main seal 350 block.  All the accessory brackets should bolt on going from newer block to older vehicle.  Can't guarentee all the drive train parts will live behind a significantly higher Horsepower engine, but it will bolt together.

The powerglide transmission will bolt to your 350 Chevy engine, as long as the bell housing on the transmission was origanally drilled to fit a SBC engne. If you have one off of anothe marquis block, i.e. BOP engines, the bolt pattern is different. I woud recommend a THM-400 since youi aqre using a truck. It is a stronger transmission, they are fairly plentiful. If you cannot find one, go with the THM-350. It is a reliable tranny as well. You'll have 3 gears, which will give you a little better low-end takeoff. You'll see a slight improvement in you economy as well.

Or is this a drag truck, where consistency is needed? If you're dragging it, use the powerglide. You only shift one time, therefore you're vehicle will have better consistency at the track.
