i have an 83 camaro that had a 305 in it and i put a 1995, 350 vortec motor in it. i bought a flyweel for a 95 chevy 350 engine but the flyweel was too thick so now the clutch stays engauged. the bolt pattern to the 305 crank was different than the 350 crank (from crank to flyweel) and i was woundering if it was like that on all motors. and i think the 305 was a 2 piece rear main seal, and the 350 is a 1 piece main. i was also woundering if that has anything to do with the flyweel bolt pattern.

there are crankshaft  different bolt patterns for one piece seal and 2 piece seal motors...     the seal has to slide over the one piece crank.. which requires the bolt pattern to be smaller...

i bet that the throw out bearing height is wrong the fulcrum ball height is wrong or the release arm..

diaphragm  clutch sets take one height of stuff...   3 lever take another height..

that is if you have the rest of the linkage working..
i am sure somebody will come through with the right info in a clutch..

please post which type of clutch you have..    which throw out bearing..
