I'm building on a super low budget and most of my parts were freebies from friends or left over parts from other projects.Just looking for some imput, good bad or otherwise.Hp,torque estimates ect. This is what I have:355sbc
HEADS:461 dbl humps with 2.02/1.60,1:5 roller tip rockers,screw in studs,guide plates,(newly done)
CRANK:10/10 on stock crank
PISTONS,RODS:refreshed stock rods,forged flat tops(new)
CARB:750 dual line holley(old style)
INTAKE:Edlebrock torker(old style)
CAM:Comp 292/501 hyd(new with lifters)
IGN:Stock style HEI dist,accel coil,8.8 wires
TRANS:TH 350,manual valve bdy,Fairbanks kit,hardened 2nd gear sprag,3500 converter
GEAR:4:11 presision w/mini spool
REAREND:GM 12 bolt
SHIFTER:B&M pro ratchet(just thought i'd throw that in)
NITROUS:fixed 125 shot(n.o.s system)
This is all going in a 69 Nova ss body(satin black) that i picked up from a friend for 300 bucks, the body has new quarters, stock louvered ss hood, new grill and markers. It has new sub-frame connectors.Suspension is stock so far.OH YEH,it has a interior that looks like its never been sat in..no really, and its original!!(real reason i bought it).So far I have around $1800 to $2000 in everything(including the car)I dont expect to win any events or grace the cover of any magazines but I would like to have some fun, maybe turn a decent number at the track and do a little street fighting.I know it's not a high dollar, turbo singing, fire breathing beast..but its all i got for now. What do you think?

if the heads are ported put on a victor jr or other larger intake...   wedge in the largest headers you can get...   1-7/8 primarys??? a 3 inch exhaust system... and more gear in the rear.. you might just have a fast car..    hope that you have good rod bolts...    you might also want to make sure the hei is properly curved...  not just thrown in...

Thanks for the reply, the heads arent ported,I'm using ARP head and rod bolts.Good guess on the headers, thats what came with the car(1-7/8).A good friend of mine owns an exhaust shop and he is giving me a good deal on some 2-1/2 inch stainless pipe..125 bucks put on,thats a little small for my taste but its all he had to spare me.The distributer has a re-curv kit..white springs and swing weights that came with the kit,i'll have to see wich ones work best.I was thinking a 4:11 would be plenty..plus it was free
