hi-where do i find the casting number on this rear end; also, what is distance axle housing flange to flange.....thanks aggie

ford uses a number stamped into a tag that fits over one of the studs that mount the carrier to the housing. if that is gone... you have to measure it.. and count the turns of the yoke verses one axle...
top row of numbers should be the ratio... 3:73 would mean... if it is a 3:73L it has/had a posi...
there are usually more letters that can be checked out in google to find out what the rear end fit...
