WAYS TO GET AWAY FROM GAS POWERED CARS.
WHAT DO PEOPLE THINK OF THAT IDEA?  

The sound and spectacle of internal combustion engines will keep them at the forefront of Car Crafting for a long time.

Some of us would welcome radical hybrids (i.e. electric assist motors to allow for much larger and more radical IC engines (or even multiple IC engines) and higher cruising mileage (between full throttle blasts)in traditional muscle cars, as well as increased use of alcohol-based octane boosting technology.

Others (perhaps the majority of CC readers) can't deal with anything other than small blocks, gasoline, nitrous oxide and carbs.

Full electric cars simply do not have the performance, range or ease of "modifiability" to be viable high performance street/strip/open track machines at this time.  

For once, I have to agree.  Electric vehicles are the face of the future when it comes to marketable, sustainable vehicular recreation.
