Checking into the new 2009 Dodge Challenger and I found that it is only offered in an automotive transmission. My question is why does Dodge bring back a classic muscle car only to ruin it by making it an automatic? What are your thoughts about the new Challenger?  

Its getting a manual in a year.  They are starting with the automatic because its already developed and used in that platform (Charger, 300).  All of the first year Challengers are also going to be SRT8 models.  

New Challenger rocks and I am a Ford Guy . After the Mustang of course it is the best looking car out there. I am sure the Pentastar guys disagree but hey that is ok . They both leave the new Camaro in the weeds.

I got a close up view of one last week. Dodge had the press tour with some of their cars out of a hotel in Pasadena. I was there for work and got to see it. The car was getting a good thrashing too from the dirt and dead bugs. I have to say this is the one new car I like.  

Its cool that there making a manual in a year because you know someone it going to try to make this a street dragster when it is available.  

Dodge has them beat on the drag car as well.  The Challenger will be available in a DragPack with the 392cid 3G Hemi dealer direct.  I say "sign me up right now!"
