you mean the one that you can get at Kragen that comes in the quarts?
From what i know about it, its a 1K product which comes with its own set of problems. (1K procuct means it doesnt require a hardener - it air dries. 2K means you need a hardener for it to dry properly) The first one is the lack of protection that a good quality 2K product will provide. UV will eat it much quicker than if you use a proper paint on it. Now, if you are using it underhood or in another area that isnt getting much sun exposure, you will probably be ok.
Once you have decided if it will work for you, there is another issue with 1k products. single compnent products are notorious for shrinkage. They dry as a result of the evaporation of solvent out of the film. You will spray it, it will look great, but wait a day. The residual solvents will come out and your super great looking paint job will magically have a bunch of texture in it now. You can color sand and polish it out, but if it is an enamel product, it will be very soft and you risk tearing the film. Not only will you risk that, but because of the shrinkage and loss of thickness of the film, color sanding and polishing will also mean you cut off more material which in turn can leave the product too thin to provide adequate UV protection.
IMO, spend the extra cash and get real paint. Its not that much more in the big picutre and you get a much better finish.
