SINGLE STAGE? 2 STAGE? FLATTENING AGENTS IN PAINT? HIT ME UP IF YOU KNOW WHERE I COULD FIND SOME MORE INFO
talk to several of the your local auto paint stores... not the body shops.. but the automotive paint suppliers.. there are a bunch of different ways to go flat... other than letting the air out of your tires... some people have just used primer... but that really does not last as long as a good top coat.
You could:Use tinted primer (Inexpensive but not very durable)Use single stage paint with a flattening agent (Mid price with the advantage of selecting how "flat" you want the paint. Difficult to repair)Use basecoat without a clearcoat (More expensive than tinted primer with about the same durability)Use a basecoat with regular clearcoat and color sand to 5000 grit (Glass smooth finish but extremely labor intensive)Use basecoat with a matte clearcoat (Most expensive and the most durable finish)
I found some flat single stage paint on tcpglobal.com. bunch of colors to. comes with activaor and reducer. gives you gallon and a half of sprayable material. I'm plannin' on doin' my 94 explorer with it. I can tell ya more when i get to it.
For your car’s color selection I can suggest you a website from where I buy paints for my Corvette. It’s Automotive Touch UP I hope it’ll help u.
