I don't keep most issues, but I still have those.  

I vote we keep the chicks,keep Krass&Bernie (I was a CARtoons reader as well!) AND add more pages! Vintage drag pics and more Junkyard Crawl,which has me thinkin, these chicks don't mind having their picture in a mag that has a coulumn about junkyards,which makes them even hotter!Why not pictures of pretty girls at the junkyard?

hey....keep the rack as long as the chicks are hot ....krass and bernie is better than some of the articles (sorry furburger!)....face it, were guys .....visually stimulated....bad ass cars and half naked fine ass women are where its at. call me rude crude cave man......so what......keep the wild engine tech....lose the do it yourself paint crap and lets see some less clothes on the rack  

Magazine might want to consider going back at least part way to the do it yourself / salvage yard format of the late nineties, it has crept back to being a high buck mag in some respects, understand that a high dollar car on the cover is necessary, in the mag's own words "nobody wants to look at a primered chevy II on the cover every month", definetly keep Magante, and expand the tech articles as well as interchange information.  How about more in depth technical articles on current domestic products (Corvette/ Mustang/Chrysler Hemi) and reprint every month a good article from selected past issues-maybe rotating from 5,10,15, 20, 25 and 30 years ago.   Was looking at some old issues from the eighties recently, Jeff Smith seemed to have it in terms of technical articles, although the same articles seem to recycle over the years.    The rack section is cool, more women of color would be appreciated, how about some more mexican gals.       

i think the mag still has alot of the junkyard feel that it used to. (and without the greasy hand cleaner smell!)

if you look alot of the stories in there the yards are still a big part of the mag. i dont mean just the Junkyard Crawl either. take a look at any story incolving the CCrambler. (should i just call it the Crambler?) the yards have been good to that car. personally i still think that this is the one mag thats still been in touch with the 'average' gearhead. the only way they could make it more in touch with the reader base is to put a 12 pack and a gallon of Gojo on the cover.

a high end car isnt bad to look at all the time either. at least it isnt some $500,000 Ridler award car on the cover. id rather see some chicks and a car with some rust over that any day.

Funny how u suggested, pretty girls at the junkyard. Im currenty working on something like that. A friend of mine restores cars, he has @ least 200 cars, from novas, 50's cars etc, in his yard. Ill keep u posted on them pics!

Ya Know Trosley could put more chicks in the Krass and Bernie cartoon. I may be the only one to admit it,but I've seen his other cartoons in other magazines if you know what I mean!

keep it if anything add more keep crass and bernie i havent even looked at a comic book since you started shoving it in there and you shold add more to the junkyard crawl and no more 6 cyl amcs in the junkyard crawl ! im not much of an amc fan i would buy one over a mopar but not a 6 cyl i hav my 1st and 2nd vehicle bolth big block v8s from the early 70s  

the question was about "on the rack" why are people throwing other things in? keep on the rack! or lose a subscriber.at this point all of prime media's car mags rehash the same tech articles,and it seems every 10th feature car is interesting,and it doesn't have to be a gm product either,and all i own are chevrolets.only aricles on new products/tech keep me re-subscribing,not to stray off the subject,"on the rack" gets me excited again about getting my new issue every month.esmerelda,i love you!

i love CAR CRAFT and junkyards. just scooped me up some GT spindles at pic-a-part for an upgrade to the 86 lx mustang. my whole car is built form used parts and junkyard scores as well as ebay and internet deals. i would have spend an arm and leg otherwise. i will be going back to pluck the 8.8 rearend with fresh 327:1 gears and maybe build it into a five lug conversion with ranger  axles before i make it to the checkout gate. my buddies call me pawn shop. gotta love junk. lol
