I have a '69 Olds 455 with a Turbo 400 Trans that I'm putting in a '68 Firebird. The 'Bird originally had a 400 with a 2-Speed. I wanted to know what motor & tranny mounts would work for this application. I have heard that a set of motor mounts from a '77-79 Firebird 403 would work, but I'm not sure. I have not found any info for the trans mounts yet. Any suggestions???

Thanks!

use the same transmission...that came in the firebird...  you  may need a differnt converter..    the 68 firebirds only came with th350s and th 400's  they might actually be a th375... which would be a small output shaft th400...

there is a difference in crossmembers.. between th350s and th400s... but both are still available...

and have you tryed the motor mounts that came with the 69 olds motor.. along with the frame brackets... that came out of the donor...

will the exhaust clear the steering./?

Thanks! I managed to get Motor Mounts from a '71 Vista Cruiser. I was trying to look for Mounts a '69 Toronado, but was not successful at all. The closest I came to was from a '70, but they would not work.

The conversion is fitting right in, but the exhaust manifolds will not. It's looking like I have to get stock ones or pay to have some some angled-huggers made.

Thanks again for the information!
