i am looking for larger headers for my el camino. there seems to be a limited array of headers available for this car with a 350. i currently have 1 5/8" and would like to run 1 3/4" or 1 7/8". I have seen a few that were not tuned and 1 set that were tuned. Are tuned headers a better choice or only if you have one of those strip beasts that turn 7,000 rpm?

they made el caminos from 59 through 87 with a few left overs being sold as 88's

at least 4 different styles of frames..

what year is it ??????

and chevy's are only limited in parts do to the guy looking for parts  to  not have enough catalogs to look them up in...

and in most cases ... 1-5/8 headers will work just fine...

they keep the exhaust flow speeds up to help the evacuation of burned gasses from the cylinder at normal road speeds...
