I've got a 4.3 in a 94 Sierra (close enough to a Chevy). I've got JEGS tbi induction kit and dual exhuaust. I've also got a SB air breather on it and cut the base to match the Hypertech Powercharger. I've got plans for Elderbrock cam, intake, headers, chip, timing chain; BBK or March Underdrive pulleys, and a MSD distributor. Which controller would be best? I may run nitrous or a blower later on. Also, would wrapping my breather and the Hypertech Powercharger with Dynamat Extreme be worthwhile?

Hey,i think anything you do to reject heat from the air stream is good, luck to ya,ps wrap your headers too, when ya get em. know what would be neat to experiment with? make a "pan"out of some matierial to fit under your tbi to block some heat from rising to your intake, know what i mean? luck to ya

I was also thinking of making some sort of cover for the injectors to make them more aero. They seem like they would be a restriction. Also, I heard wrapping the entire exhaust will result with power gains. Is this worth trying? Does anybody make a 2 inch TBI for a 94 V6? I cannot find one for my year, but I think an older 305 TBI could work, they seem to be the same. Would it be possible to get my throtle body bored to 2 inches and have new butterflies CNCed?
I was also considering making a headlight cover for it also. I have the sealed beam style headlights. I was thinking to make them flush with the face of the grille. It should help to make it more aero and have a different look. Does anybody know where I can get tinted plexi glass?
Does anybody know where I can get a traction bar for this truck? I toyed with the idea of a leaflink, but it seemed to be much work with a SOA setup.

And, is the BB air breather the same as SB?

Hey, I'm writing this late at night, so I can't think of anything truly useful off the top of my head. However, i think I might be able to help you with finding the answers.
http://s-series.org/ has a knowledgeable group of S-Dime fanatics that love their trucks and know em inside and out. I've had countless times where they've had the solution for problems I couldn't find anywhere else. That's where I'd go, although there are other fansites out there.

as for the plexiglass, I would head down to the local hardware store and ask the guys there. We get most of our plexiglass for windows and such from here, and I *think* that we have the option of getting it tinted. If not, buy some of that tinting stuff that sticks to the windows (sorry, forgot the names).
Here's a stupid question: unless I'm mistaken (not surprising if I am) you're asking if a 305 TBI will work on a 4.3 v6....for one, the intake has 8 ports, whereas a v6 has 6.....I'm thinking you could use one if you did extensive work to it? But I'm not sure.
You can buy an aftermarket TB for a v8 that can be mated up to the 4.3 intake, I'm not sure again what work this would require.
But this truck sounds awesome already! Good luck!

I was just asking about the throtle body not the intake.

I have a 95 S-10 with the 4.3 . the biggest power adder for the $$$ I have found is install a 160 degree thermostat . you will be suprised . Also available from jegs is a cool throttle body spacer and an injector spacer . {this lifts the injecotrs up out of the throttle body a little to produce more airflow . I also bumped up my distributor timing a few degrees and run premium unleaded . I ran it at the dragstrip just for fun and it ran 15.82 @ 89 mph it spun the tires bad first and second gear . BTW it is a 5 speed

In the Jegs TBI Inuction Kit you get an injecter spacer, throtlle body spacer, line extensions, Hypertec Power Charger, Jegs Ram Air Tube, K&N V8 filter, and K&N V8 lid. For $250 it was a good upgrade and took only 3 hours to install. If you have a V6 make sure you get a V8 breather or the lid and filter won't work. The bolt patteren for the TBI is the same for a V8 but I need the to know if the electrical connections are the same. If I was to get mine bored to 2 inches would the pot metal hold up?

all the electrical connections will be the same as far as I know . but I don't think the big block 454 stuff will fit the v-6 manifold

im sure holley makes a tbi for your year truck. http://www.holley.com/types/Direct%20Replacement.asp
theres the edlebrock intake which would help or you can skip that and buy votec heads and the edlebrock vortec intake for carbs and get a tbi adapter..but you would have no egr....
or go this route
