After attending CC nationals this year, I must say it was a big improvement. I wasn't originally going to say anything, but I figured you should hear the things you did well so you don't change them again. The burnout contest was a ton better, than the last couple years. Last year's burnout contest was lame, at least the one I saw. Personally, I don't think the Neon club belongs there, but that's your call I guess. Miss Car Craft contest was as good as ever. Overall the show seemed to be better than last year. The only thing I would change is maybe stay open a little later on saturdays, Back to the 50's is open until 10 you know. I disagree that it was better. I've been coming for 7 years in a row and I can state that CC is letting more junk in every year. Stock vans, trucks, lowrider trash dragging their tailgates around. More of those come every year, and there's less parking for the cars that belong there. In my opinion, CC can't inspect every car that signs up for the show, but the staff are at the gates as all cars go through, and they should stop the vehicles that clearly do not belong there and send them away. It's not just me that has noticed this trend. I'm not even going to go into the stupid bag of crap they are handing out at the registration trailer. I like this show a lot, but CC is not discriminating as it should be. You don't put this trash in the magazine, so keep it out of the show.

All they have to do is state on the registration form what cars will be allowed in the show. I haven't seen CC's registration form, but nearly everyone I've seen for other shows have what kind of cars the show is for
Example; Open to muscle cars, street machines, hot rods and street rods.

Car Craft magazine is for the guys that like to improve their cars by working on them. With over 3000 vehicles on site, you're gonna get bent out of shape about a handful that don't fit your personal definition of what should be allowed in? Personally I find it interesting to watch the progress of some folk's cars. One year they have this engine in them and need paint. The next year they have paint and a different engine. The Car Craft Summer Nationals shouldn't need to require only concourse ready vehicles allowed.
There is probably something to complain about every year. I thought it was a great event. Loved all the cars, all the people and wasn't Saturday just a perfect day to be outside with cars and car people?
