  Hey Guys!

I just recieved your mew *** in the mail Friday. And was checking out the new project Formula Firebird. And! How much flak David Freiburger is getting out of a white "Bird!"

Hey Dave? Give 'em the bird already!!!

Any how, I thought a neat name for the new "white chicken," would be most likely be (should?), "Fried-Bird." Part after the cars name and part after the buyer and also because as you guys go along... Things just seem to keep fryin! EGR, ECM, fuel pressure regulator... So, what will be next to "FRY!"

Perhaps Firechicken Breast?<All white meat>

Sounds kind of like a new sandwich at Burger King or something.

In other threads, "PROJECT BIRDTURD" is serving us well.

"Birdturd" was suggested by reader "chevysxz" as a commentary on the car's lack of reliability and its peeling paint job which looks to some like a big blob of bird poop.

BTW, I can't really support any name which contains a misspelling.  (it's "night," not "nite")

If its not TURBOCHARGED, you're not finished yet . . . .

Thanks, Dr. Spellchek.  'Turd's the word.

Maybe they'll brush on some lo' buck school bus color (like th' Disco Banana) so that the Auto Club can spot it easier.  Or "safety orange" so nobody hits it when it squats.

Some cuz o Joe Dirt (typical CC potside subscriber) probably wants them to enter it in "Duke My Ride . . . ."

["Duke My Ride
-Cross-promotional CMT/MTV episode of "Pimp My Ride"
-Lucky teenager has his/her junker converted into a General Lee-esque "Duked-Out" car
-Slick will co-host wearing a Duke-themed cowboy suit made by Manuel"

How bout Lucky? It`s the 3rd 0ne & 3rd times lucky.  Besides that, it reminds me of that old joke- lost, small white mongrel dog. Only got one eye, no teeth, and missing one leg. Answers to Lucky.

Wouldn't "Knight My Ride" be more appropriate?  Afterall, K.I.T.T. was based on the Chevy-powered Gen III Firebird.

There's nothing wrong with David Freiburger's latest Firebird that an 455 Super Duty and a little paint wouldn't fix.

Good suggestions, but I'd call it The White Fright and paint a skeletal version of the bird on the hood and ghost some skull-filled flames on the sides.

I like, I like.  The "turd" nomenclature was used on the last 3rd gen project ('88 FireTurd), so maybe a name like yours will help garner some restecpah for the car.  Love the screen name too.  Wish I had thought of it.

Say, anyone know the name of the first Firebird project of Car Craft's?

As for names of the white pontiac, how about "slow-ass POS that is a sign of insanity as CC never learns that they are hidesously expensive to make fast".  Or they could just hit themselves in the nuts with a golf club and junk it, saving time, money, and pain.
