thats too long to have a motor in a shop.... get it back... buy a set of snap gauges and at least a dial micrometer and measure everything.. HF has an electronic bore gauge for 99 bucks.
and back to scary stupid storys...
a guy has a dodge challenger.. with a 340?? trys to put on the aftermarket intake manifold.. it won't fit level... after a bunch of trys he calls me over.. he forgot to pull the locating pins out of the end rails... i pointed it out... he was so happy.. he bolted it straight on.. .. next day.. the oil pressure dropped.. when he went to drain the oil.. it would not come out.. there was something in the way.. the beach towel that was under the intake.. it had wrapped around all kind of things in the motor.. he also was smart enough to show off to friends by doing a burn out for an entire block infront of a highway patrol office.. 2 pages of violations..

hello everyone, Yeah, back to the stupid stories again!! I had a friend who had an old Nova beater, it had been in an accident and someone put house paint on the driver side door. This guy actually thought it was way cool?! Hey, I am the "dumb" female here, but my brother taught me more respect for cars than that!

Yeah . . . and that was the last time we let Pamela "Baywatch" Anderson work on the Challenger. . . .
This Mopar life is sometimes a beach.
As for the awesome, tire-melting HiPo "smoker" block party -- we thought it was the set for a remake of "T.J. Hooker" featuring Heather Locklear . . . .
(Does anyone sense a burnt out, middle-aged, rock-chick-ex-wife theme here)
At least we had plenty of time on our hands (during the license suspension) to save up for a Hemi . . . and a new beach towel (the old one was so oily and shreaded that you couldn't even make out the "Pinball Wizard" on it any more . . . not so good for luring "beachin' babes").
DISCLAIMER: None of the foregoing is remotely true, but I just hate to see bone-headed stuff without a logical explanation.
Time to bake the cookies . . . .

NaughtyDodge04: My neighbor claims his stock 96 chevy extended cab 350 make over 400 ft lbs of torque,he did some timing work, hotter plugs, and a airraid filter.
Just wait until he installs the "Tornado" and one of those "electric superchargers" from eBay. He'll be gettin' a SFI-certified cage and and a NHRA competition license . . . .
BTW, does anyone know where I can score some "Thermolene" for the 1000 h.p. Turbonique drag axle I want to put in my Sears Weatherbeater-painted YUGO?

Finally, I asked him if he was running nitrous...his reponse; "No...but I do have noss"
Yeah . . . one time the "heat" asked me if I was "runnin' NOSS, you know, squeezing-the-gas" and I said "No. But gimmie 'bout a half hour . . . I just ate at Taco Bell."
I didn't mind the back seat of that squad car so much (it almost smelled like they'd tried to clean up the "spray" from the drunk that they'd hauled in just before), but did they HAVE to slap on the bracelets? That cut the "Taco Bell response time" in about half . . . .

I might as well not even have a computer or ever go benchracin' if I have to quit "talking mindless crap."
Why I'd probably even lose my sterling "rep" as the "John Force" of the Yugo Racing Association.
By the way, will the Fitch Fuel Catalyst put my Yugo in the 8s or am I gonna need to pop for one of those "run your car on water" doohickies?

yea he was all gung ho about trying to get me to run him,up until 2 things happend. 1. he saw me emberrase one of his buddys in a camaro, its all about reaction time 2. he ran me,the first lesson didnt sink in. i dont think any motor will make any more power than it was designed for. if its designed to make 300lbs of torque from the factory, well your gonna deal with that until ya change the motor parts..no?

Have you ever owned a car that a BS artist owned before you?
I hooked my lil 17 year sister up with a nice 95 Z28. Its nice, Pace headers, After market Hella headlights, a nice wing on the back, Corvette Z06 Rims with 275/40/17's in front and 295/30/18's in the rear, power everything, 64k miles.... for $4000 bucks!!
We took it home only to find out that the previous owner lives kitty corner across a main street from us. Wow did he THINK he knew what he was doing, nice guy thou.
This car was getting 5mpg when we got it, the radio turned OFF when you put ON the headlights, trouble codes out the wazzoo. This stuff was all caused by his overwhelming knowledge of this car, but easily fixed on a weekend.
But know my sister not only has to explain to people that "NO I didn't buy it cause it is purple I bought it for the LT1 under the hood." But she has to put up with and diffuse all the stories and rumors about the 600hp Camaro with NAUS,(what ever the hell that is??)that pulls 9's at the track and tops out at 185mph. Not to mention the Police... she drives like your average driver (smart girl) yet she got pulled over 19 times in only 2 WEEKS due to the cars reputation!
Even though that kid caused a lot of frustration I do have to give to him, cause even though i don't know everthing about cars he respects i know more than he does and he even comes over when my sister and I are working on the car and Shuts up and listens so he can learn.
It may not be the fastest or prettiest, but i can pretend
